how did he do that?

by editing jesus' story to fit his greater plan.  the old testament (hebrew bible) was adopted simply because it was too obvious to ignore.  with his power, he formed a committee to create the new testament (christian amendment).  other relevant texts were banned and burned.  he deified jesus and created a system that would surely outlast his own life and the roman empire.
