at face value, this statement is incorrect. it really depends on how someone lives. it's possible to do work that brings about a great amount of wealth and makes a positive impact on the world. it's also possible to get rich by lying, cheating, stealing, and taking advantage of others. it's possible to do great work while accumulating almost no wealth. and it's also possible to be a poor and evil person at the same time. and worst of all are the spiritual materialists: those who shun off all business/wealth because they are somehow "holier" than that type of work.
this writer is wealthy enough and simply not interested enough to try and accumulate more wealth. though if anyone has cash burning a hole in their pockets, by all means, donate!
