what about the christian concept of forgiveness?

oh yes, the christian free pass to heaven.  forgiving is not uniquely christian.  what is is the obligation that you have to forgive someone as long as they apologize.  perhaps this is fine once or twice (how many cheeks can one really turn?), but eventually like in physics and society, actions have consequences.  otherwise i'd buy an "i'm sorry" t-shirt and do whatever the hell i want all day long.  i'll be forgiven anyway right? it's all part of the control system to surrender your will to the church.
