did jesus perform the miracles that made him jesus?

nope, those parts of the story were romanticized in order to fit the greater plan.  he was a rabbi, practiced the ancient mystic arts (with a bit of success) we now call kaballah.  and towards the end of his life, he achieved michael jackson status and became a real political threat to the roman empire.
